WELCOME TO MATTHEW 25 HOUSE

Matthew 25 House, Inc. is a local social justice outreach program for men who are now in the Story County Jail, halfway houses, or an Iowa Prison. It helps integrate them into a local church and the Ames community. Almost seventy percent of the men released from jail eventually return to jail. Why? Many need to learn new skills and new behavior. Many have no one who cares whether they live or die. Central to the Matthew 25 House program is overcoming this by having each resident become a member of a local Christian congregation with the following goal in mind: to walk the path toward Jesus Christ, never turning back to jail or prison.

Our Vision

To break the cycle of recidivism by helping formerly incarcerated men find restoration and transformation through Christ.

Our Mission

We help formerly incarcerated men imagine and embrace a new way of living through Christ-centered relationships that build a sense of belonging and self-worth.
If the formerly incarcerated do not find Christ in our hearts, where then will they find Him.Don Payer, Founder
